Evri Group has an opening for a Courier Training and Onboarding Specialist in the Radstock/Sparkford area. This is a full-time role paying £28,000 to £32,000 a year, plus bonus and benefits. The main part of the job is helping new couriers get settled into their work and making sure the daily delivery operation stays on track. You’ll be around the couriers during the day, helping with questions, checking that parcels are being scanned properly and making sure everyone is ready for their deliveries. There may also be times when you need to deal with late couriers, missing parcels or scanning problems. You’ll be expected to sort out smaller issues yourself and pass on anything that needs further attention. The job also includes helping couriers with their manifests, routes and other things that come up during the day. It’s a hands-on role, so it would suit someone who enjoys being involved rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
You’ll need a current UK driving licence for this position, along with some understanding of how self-employed couriers work. Experience in a busy workplace where you have dealt with customers or day-to-day operations would be useful. More than anything, you need to be organised, easy to communicate with and able to deal with problems without getting stuck when things become busy. You should also be comfortable using smartphone apps and keeping track of what is happening around you. The role covers any five days out of seven, Monday to Sunday, so some flexibility with your working days will be needed. If you’re based around Radstock or Sparkford and have the right experience, this could be a solid opportunity to work with Evri and be part of its Final Mile operation.
